“God of Gods. Destroyer of Evil. Passionate lover. Fierce warrior. Consummate dancer. Charismatic leader. All-powerful, yet incorruptible. A quick wit, accompanied by an equally quick and fearsome temper. Over the centuries, no foreigner who came to our land – conqueror, merchant, scholar, ruler, traveller – believed that such a great man could possibly have existed in reality. They assumed that he must have been a mythical God.”
― Amish Tripathi, The Immortals of Meluha
The Annual Day at Bal Vikas Progressive School is an integral part of a child’s holistic development. While on the academic side students learn to hone their literary and numeracy skills; it is the participation in the cultural programs of the schools that give hands on experience to the students to hone their soft skills. The school calender has several co- curricular activities, all aimed at bring out the best talent and providing a level playing field to students where they can discover their hidden talents and abilities. The Annual day production that spans over several months gives live experience to one and all to imbibe and brush up integral life skills like strategic thinking, problem solving, effective team work, coordination, cooperation and above all mutual respect and acceptance of varied ideas. Students are given several opportunities to build their confidence by working across several departments. It really is a journey of self growth for one and all.
In today’s world, academic learning becomes stronger when clubbed with life skills. It is in this process that students discover several creative abilities ranging from voice overs, scripting, acting, dancing, design, art production along with managerial skills. The result is joyful learning which churns out future leaders who are all rounders.A key focus of the annual day preparation is helping students become dynamic by providing them support and guidance to become participants rather than spectators. When everyone contributes, we all grow.
