Shiva – The Mahadev is the first group art show of the art community of BAL VIKAS PROGRESSIVE SCHOOL.The exhibition showcases the works of students, teachers and the support staff of the school.

  • ANANYA AHUJA  

Class-10 B / Age-16 yrs

Inspiration-During my childhood my mother inspired me to place my creativity on a page which my passion. Now I love turning blank pages into cherishable art. About the Painting-I have made a painting of Shiva highlighting the significance of old culture in the present time.

  • ANSHIKA GULATI  

Class-12 D/ Age-17 yrs

Inspiration-I am deeply inspired by my art teacher, Ms. Ravinder. She has always helped me to negotiate between the divine impulse and human consciousness.  About the Painting- I have made an oil painting depicting Shvia in both dark and bright pallets. Day and Night combine in my painting with Shivling Lotus and Snake at the centre.

Class- 9 A/ Age- 15 yrs

Inspiration-When I won my first colouring competition in Pre-Nursery class, my parents started motivating me as they had recognised my love and passion for drawing and colouring. Slowly and gradually with their inspiration I learnt many things.About The Painting-My artwork depicts the powers of Shiva which resides in us using soft colours.

Inspiration-My biggest inspiration is my mother.About the Painting- I have made a beautiful painting with poster colours.

Class-9 B/ Age-15 yrs

Inspiration-When I was a kid I used to observe my elder brother as he painted, I got really inspired by looking at him, he too encouraged me a lot. Keeping him my ideal I started doing artwork and everyone appreciated me for my work. Eventually I won many prices for my work in school. About the Painting-For me my artwork depicts a cool and calm Shiva.

Inspiration-I am inspired by the human spirits that have always faced hurdles of life with bravery and courage.   About the Painting- In a very abstract manner I present a colourful mixture of two faces – Shiva and Parvati. Slightly mixed in one another, made up of soft pastels on a canvas.

Inspiration-I am inspired by my surroundings.  About the Painting- I have drawn a picture of Shiva plying a flute.

Inspiration-When I was a kid, my mother used to make me sit on a plastic sheet with lot of crayons and I used to sit there and draw for hours.About the Painting- My painting increases our inner strength and believe in god.

Inspiration-Since childhood I have observed my parents playing with colours which inspired me and as a result I also started playing with them.  About the Painting- MY painting explains how Lord Shiva protects the world from evil powers with his trishul.

Inspiration-I am inspired by each and every thing which I see but my biggest inspiration is my teacher Ms. Simmi Sikand. About the Painting- I have made a painting on canvas using acrylic colours.

Inspiration-My sister is my biggest inspiration as well as my first teacher. About the Painting- I have made an abstract painting of Lord Shiva depicting his powers.

Inspiration-My mother is the biggest inspiration for me. She too is a very good artist and loves to draw, paint,sketch etc. About the Painting-I prefer poster colours but this time for a change I used oil colours to make my Shiva look real.

Inspiration- One day my father forcefully took me to an Art Exhibition in Gurgaon. There I saw beautiful paintings which inspired me to learn art and be creative.About the Painting- I want to tell everybody through my painting that each and every human being has ample of power, if they believe in themselves. The ‘Neelkanth’ posture of Shiva is depicting this message in my painting.

Inspiration-My parents are my inspirational source and are everything for me. They are compassionate, empathetic, and supportive. They encourage me to be calm in every situation. Further I am inspired by Nature. About the Painting- I have made a Gond Tribal Painting done with acrylic colours. Through my painting I want to illustrate that Lord Shiva is the absolute authority that controls this world.

Inspiration-Everyone in my family and school say that I am very creative but I think that art has made me creative and inspires me to do art. About the Painting- I have made a very distinct and creative painting of Shiva.

When I was a kid, my mother attracted me towards art as she used to do art every day.  About the Painting-In this painting I have shown Shiva and his powers. This painting is devoted to the power of love, joy, affection and happiness.

Inspiration-I have always enjoyed art. The earliest memory of this is doodling on sheets and cutting up old cards to make new ones. I was always inspired to make and design anything and everything. Inspiration-Nature is what inspires me the most. Art is what I love to do when I am upset or alone. It always boosts up my mood. Whenever I am surrounded by natural peace and beauty I just feel like preserving it with me. Nature fascinates me the most.About the Painting- According to the theme of this year’s paintings i.e. Shiva. I have made a painting of Lord Shiva along with his son Ganesha. The message in my painting is that we should love our parents.

According to me Picasso’s artworks are full of life, thus, inspiring me to work with bright colours and express myself in the form of art.  About the Painting- I have made a canvas painting of Lord Shiva. He is shown very abstractly in it.

Inspiration-I am inspired by “The CHANCE to EXPRESS our self” in art.  About the Painting- My painting depicts the power of trishul i.e. it can destroy all the 3 sufferings of human life be it physical, ethereal or spiritual. And this divine tool is in the hands of Shiva.

About the Painting- My painting depicts the style of colours and eye of Shiv. The eye is emitting positive rays. I have made this painting in mixed medium.
